From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome and thoughtful touches that made our stay at this cozy cottage truly unforgettable. Calum greeted us upon arrival and took the time to explain everything, while the fantastic welcome pack of local produce and wine was a pleasant surprise that we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the stunning beauty of Lewis and Harris, with Tabert, Stornoway, and the Callanish stones all within easy reach. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true island retreat. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with lovely ensuites, while the entire cottage was impeccably clean. Christine, the owner, was a fantastic host and provided excellent communication throughout our stay. Can't recommend this place enough!

The location was fantastic, with easy access to nearby towns and attractions. We were able to explore Tabert, Stornoway, and the Callanish stones within a short drive. the cottage itself was spacious and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the bedrooms were large and the beds were incredibly comfortable. the owner was also very welcoming and helpful, providing us with tips on where to go and what to see during our stay.

There were a couple of downsides to our experience. the cleanliness of the cottage could have been better.

We had a wonderful stay at Sundown Cottages for a week while exploring the stunning landscapes of Lewis and Harris. The cottage itself was beautifully furnished with thoughtful touches throughout. The views from every window, including the shower, were fantastic. The wood burner was a cozy addition, and the kitchen was well organized and fully equipped. Christine, our attentive host, had even prepared a welcome hamper with local cheeses, crackers, and chocolates. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to Stornoway and the highlights of Lewis. a comfortable and memorable experience.

The cottage is very comfortable and modern with a great selection of kitchen utensils. the house heats up quickly and there is plenty of parking space. the location is ideal, with a petrol station nearby for groceries. the welcome pack provided by the owners is a lovely touch, including local produce and wine.

Some parts of the property are looking a bit tired and the cleanliness standards were not up to expectations.

our weekend trip to leurbost was even better than our previous stay. sundown cottages truly exceeded our expectations with their cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions and the cheese board and chocolates were a delightful touch. we especially enjoyed the peaceful views from the large window with a cup of tea in hand.

There was no sign at the entry drive, which made finding the cottage a bit challenging initially.

The location was convenient, allowing easy access to Stornoway and the stunning Callanish standing stones. Despite a few minor drawbacks like some tired areas and less than ideal lighting, the overall experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway.
